Welcome to my woodturning
web site
I have been turning wood in my workshop in Oxford,
UK for several years making a wide range of products, including
bowls, platters, candlesticks and boxes. I make both functional
and artistic pieces but always with an eye to quality, design
and beauty. I became a Registered
Professional Turner in 2007.
STOP PRESS
Over the next few months,
I will be exhibiting my work at several shows with the Oxordshire
Craft Guild, follow the link to the Exhibitions
link for details. I have also recently sent some of my inlaid platters
to the Dansel
Gallery at
Abbotsbury in Dorset

In this site you can see examples of my work in
the on-line gallery. You can also see information about where
these pieces can be bought if they are in art galleries; work available
directly from me (as indicated with prices) can be ordered by following
the Contact
link.
I use both British woods and those from around
the world. In so far as is possible, I ensure that all my raw material
comes from sustainably managed sources. Not only does my raw material
come from far and wide but my work also travels. To my knowledge,
examples are currently in Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France,
Germany, Israel, Italy, Fiji, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland and
the USA; I would love to hear of other locations.
The
Piece of the Month for June is a bowl made from ripple sycamore.
