	Woodturning is an essentially solitary activity but it is important to be in touch both with other woodturners and with the wider world of craftsmen. I belong to:
	Register of Professional Turners, supported by the Workshipful Company of Turners
	Oxfordshire Craft Guild, of which membership is selective, acts as a focus for quality craftsmanship throughout Oxfordshire.
	The name Oxfordshire Woodturners Club speaks for itself.
	The Association of Woodturners of Great Britain is the national umbrella body.
